This 10″ wide trench drain grate is used where the designer wants the trench drain to be aesthetically pleasing and still needs ADA compliance. This wave pattern grate also has significant inflow capability. It is typically used on an 8″ wide trench drain or 8″ wide catch basin. The smaller openings are more prone to clogging than a slotted grate, but will provide adequate inflow when properly maintained. Typical uses are trench drains in combined traffic and pedestrian areas such as at shopping centers, churches, parks, pavilions, and any other area where high flow rates are required but the design cannot be compromised.
